Cute = ?

Hayden is a bit confused about the meaning of the word "cute." He will say "awwww, that's so cuuuuute" about little baby things or about a baby that he sees, but if you dare say that he is cute, you will get this reaction from him: "I'm not cute, I'm a big boy!" He has said it several times in the past week, so finally today I said "Hayden, just because I say something is cute doesn't mean it is little....." and I asked him what he thought the word 'cute' meant. He looked at me (with almost a dirty look) and said "Babies." So I tried to explain that things can be cute and big at the same time, but I don't think he believed me. And the rest of the day I made it a point to call him cute as often as possible... aren't I a nice mother.... :) And every time he made it a point to inform me that he is getting bigger and is NOT cute. Goofy kid......
