In August, Peter headed to Ohio to start his 4th year medical school rotations, and I packed up the kids and went to Grandma's house! We spent a month in Missouri with Grandma and Grandpa Redden, and got to visit with lots of family while we were there. We had a great time and were sad to leave.
One of Hayden's favorite things to do was to play Playdough with Grandma.
Maycee really grew and learned a lot during our stay. When we got there she was just barely crawling (she crawled better on carpet, but didn't like the hard floors in Grandma and Grandpa's "in-between house") and when we left she was really motoring, pulling up on everything, and attempting to climb the stairs. She also got used to Sneaker, and would follow him around calling him "pup-pup."
Aunt Ashley and Uncle Dan came to visit while we were there. It was nice to see them. Much thanks to Uncle Dan for entertaining the kids so often!
Aunt Erin, Uncle Steve and cousins Naomi and Sam also came to visit.
Hayden and Maycee had a great time with their cousins.
Hayden and Naomi enjoyed playing with Playmobil. Good thing Grandma saved all that! :)
One beautiful day we headed to the park with cousins, Aunt Erin and Grandma for a picnic lunch.
Have you ever tried to get 4 kids age 3 and under to sit still on a merry-go-round and all look at the camera and smile?? You should try it, it is pretty fun. This is the best we got, haha!
And one last shot of Hayden and Naomi snuggling and reading with Grandpa before bed. I think this is the only picture of Grandpa that I got the whole month!
We had a wonderful visit with our family. We I wish we got to see everyone more often! Miles, Bethany and Elizabeth - we missed you!
